Numbers 24:2-7, 15-17

Psalm 25

Matthew 21:23-27

They are like gardens beside a stream…His wells shall yield free flowing waters, Numbers 24:6

Lord, long ago your prophet spoke your words of hope to a people wandering in a sunbaked desert.  He foresaw a day when they would see fresh flowing water, and lush gardens.  Hope can be so powerful.  With hope we can endure the dry times of life.  With hope we can rise in the morning and one step at a time live the abundant life you’ve promised.  With the prospect of better times we can prepare ourselves to be the people you are forming us to be.  Lord, in this season I am hopeful you will renew in me a spirit of love for those in my life who are hard to love.  I look forward to the free-flowing streams of your grace that will refresh and renew me.  I am so grateful to be a part of your plan, Lord.  So, strengthen me to walk the road where you lead every day of my life.  Amen.
