Revelation 15:1-4
Psalm 98
Luke 21:12-19
“Great and wonderful are your works, Lord God almighty.” Revelation 15:3
Lord, John had a vision of the saints singing your praise in heaven. They were singing the song of Moses after you had freed the chosen people from slavery and saved them at the waters of the Red Sea. In the Gospel of Luke, you prepare your followers for tribulations and persecutions. You know all about suffering and persecution. Lord, I too want to praise you for you are my strength and courage. You are my God, and I glorify your name. You have and will continue to save me from the enemy of my soul. You have secured my freedom to accept and follow your will. No obstacle is too big for you to remove from my path. In your mercy you have forgiven my transgressions. Your word guides me home to you. Lord God of heaven and earth, grant me the grace to persevere in good times and in bad to stay faithful to your name. Jesus, whatever lies ahead, in the time I have left, may I never cease to glorify your name in confidence. Amen.
