Titus 1:1-9

Psalm 24

Luke 17:1-6

…hospitable, a lover of goodness, temperate, just, holy, and self-controlled… Titus 1:8

“Increase our faith.”  Luke 17:5

Lord, it’s Monday again.  The start of a new week.  Life can become very routine with one week very similar to the next.  As we go about our weekly duties and activities it’s hard to see much change or growth in our faith.  But, Lord, I don’t believe you desire to leave me stagnant or caught up in the routine.  Lord, I truly want to grow in faith and holiness.  I want to become closer to you as a disciple.  So I will pick one of the qualities of a Christian listed by Paul in his letter to Titus.  Each day this week I will pray for more faith so I can be a lover of goodness or holiness or be more self-controlled.  I believe that is a prayer you will hear and always answer.  I’m open to however you choose to change my heart this coming week.  So when the weekend rolls around I will have taken one or many small steps in growth.  I know you love me, Jesus, just as I am but you refuse to leave me that way.  St. Martin, pray for us.  Amen.
