Ephesians 6:10-20

Psalm 144

Luke 13:31-35

Draw your strength from the Lord and his mighty power.  Ephesians 6:10

“I must continue on my way today…”  Luke 13:33

Lord, not even the death threats from a king could stop you from fulfilling your mission to save mankind.  In the garden you called upon your Father for strength when tempted to turn from the cross.  Like you, we are at war with evil.  To fight the enemy of evil in the world we rely on the armor, the shield and the helmet of God.  Without God’s power and protection, we are defenseless and vulnerable to every assault of temptation and the lies of the evil one.  Lord, I rely on you being my rock, my stronghold, my deliverer.  Deliver me today from the enemies of pride, discouragement and fear.  Protect me from discouragement, lust and jealousy.  Each day as I walk with you, dear Jesus, I am stronger and better equipped to resist whatever and whoever is a danger to my soul.  Standing firm and trusting in you, my savior, I am not a victim but a victor.  I open my heart to the grace of the victory you have won for me. Amen.
