James 1:1-11

Psalm 119

Mark 8:11-13

But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God…and he will be given it.  Jam. 1:5

He sighed from the depth of his spirit…and went off to the other shore.  Mk. 8:12-13

Lord, your frustration and fatigue of being harassed by the Pharisees come thru loud and clear as they demanded another sign from heaven.  You must have had your patience tried by them constantly missing the point of what you were doing among the people.  You finally had to leave them standing on the shore and yelling at you as you drifted away in the boat.  So many of the simple people believed in you.  So many of the uneducated listened to your teaching.  So many sinners came to you for forgiveness.  What more could you have done for them?  I imagine you would say the same thing today to those who reject you in my time.  Lord, I am asking you for faith, wisdom, and an open and loving heart to be your disciple.  I know you will not leave me standing on the shore.  There are so many ways you have healed me, forgiven me, taught me, blessed me, and guided me throughout my years.  Thank you for listening to my prayers.  Amen
