I ask then, has God rejected his people? Of course not! Rom 11:1
The Lord will not cast off his people, nor abandon his inheritance; Psalm 94:14
Lord, a few years ago we saw an eclipse of the sun when its light was blocked by the moon for 2-3 minutes. We were blessed by this beautiful gift of your creation. The sun’s brilliant light could not be seen during the eclipse. That didn’t mean the sun quit shining. We know of course it did not. There are times in life when it appears you have stopped caring and providing for us. We wonder if our unbelief or sins have caused you to give up on us. Your word today makes it clear that you never abandon us. You never give up on us. Your mercy and favor are like the sun, always shining on every one of your children. Lord, today I am concerned about a family member who has, for now, given up on you. His faith right now is weak, and he is in the darkness of unbelief. Lord, I lift him up to you in prayer. Please, continue to work in his life and if there is any way I can be a part of your plan for him show me how. Since you have not given up on him, neither will I. Amen.
