Psalm 84

Matthew 13:47-53

…the glory of the Lord filled the Dwelling.  Ex. 40:34

My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.  Ps. 84:2

Lord, some people say how easy it would be to believe in you if they had lived back in your day when you walked among us.  They would have been impressed by your miracles and touched by your teachings and care for the poor and needy.  The Israelites saw your mighty power in Egypt and the Red Sea.  You were with them every day in the cloud and pillar of fire as they ate their manna in the desert.  Yet, they constantly sinned by idolatry.  People of your time failed to repent and believe also.  So, dear Lord, I want to see your glory in my time.  My heart and my flesh right now cry out for you.    Your Church teaches us that your glory resides within each one of us.  Sometimes that glory is hard to see with all our sins and failings but it’s still there.   Dear Jesus, fill me with the grace to open my heart to see you in the awesome world you created for me.  Give me the eyes of faith to see your wonders and miracles all around me as I love my neighbor and walk with you to eternity.  Amen.
