Psalm 99

Matthew 5:17-19

…our qualification comes from God who has indeed qualified us as ministers… 2 Cor 3:5-6

Lord, every help wanted ad lists the qualifications and skills required to fill the position. The applicant must have the education, skills and experience that are needed for the job. Your help wanted ad tells us what qualifies us to fulfill the purpose and mission you’ve called us to. The good news is that you have already qualified us for the work. You have already equipped us with the gift of your Spirit. You’ve placed within each one of us what we need to accomplish everything you ask of us. We have your commandments to guide us to holiness. You’ve ensured that the necessary talents and abilities are within us. You don’t call only the qualified, you qualify the called. Lord, I’m so very grateful to you that to live as you intended is not all up to me. I am confident your grace is sufficient for any task you have in mind for me. Remind me of all this when I struggle with self-confidence. You’ve made me truly wonderful and marvelous. The work of your Spirit is truly glorious. Work through me today, Lord.  Amen.
