“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him” John 6:56
Lord your faithful servant Moses previewed your greatest gift, the Eucharist, when he reminded the people how you cared for them in the desert. When you fed them with manna were you thinking of how you will feed all of us throughout history with your Body and Blood? It’s out of love that you gave us yourself completely on the cross. You give us yourself in each and every Mass in the Eucharist. As we gather in unity today to honor you, may all believers around the world gather at the heavenly banquet of the Eucharist the bread from heaven. It must greatly please you to see your disciples, as one family, receive your body and blood. After the Mass may it always be a joy for me to be a living tabernacle in my home, workplace and in the world. Remain in me, dear Jesus, for you are my food and drink for eternal life. Lord, please heal our wounds of sin and division so we can witness to the great gift of yourself. Amen
This is the truth each Christian learns,
Bread into his flesh he turns,
To his precious blood the wine:
