Revelation 14:14-19

Psalm 96

Luke 21:5-11

Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice.  Psalm 96:11

“See that you not be deceived for many will come in my name… Do not follow them!  Luke 12:8

Lord, I’m looking for the “good news” in your Gospel today. You warn your followers of the tough times ahead: wars, revolts, natural disasters and false prophets. Seems to be a scary message of doom and gloom. But these things are a reality that occur every day. It can be hard to stay positive and hopeful amid these times of terror and deception. Your Psalm tells us to rejoice and be glad because you are our King, and you rule the universe. You are with us every step of our journey of life. You are with us by our side in good times and bad. That’s how we can see through the lies of the false prophets and those who try to trick us in fear. Lord thank you for preparing me for anything that will happen today. I am ready for I am confident that you are still in charge and have my back until my last breath. Jesus, remove any fear or worry from me and replace it with a confident peace that only can come from you. St. Cecilia pray for us.  Amen.
