…let us love one another. 2 John 5
“Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save it.”
Luke 17:33
Lord Jesus, your word today can seem difficult. You speak to us in a way that can challenge our understanding. We are all on a journey from conception to eternal life. Along the way we are offered the grace to live the Commandments of God. By walking with you each and every day we can become the children of the Father that we were created to be. Our Psalm today reads: “Blessed are they whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord.” (Ps. 119:1) Your story about those who will enter the Kingdom and those who won’t is sobering to me. I pray, dear Lord, that when you come again you will find myself and my family walking with you. I pray that we will remain faithful to you to the end. The sacraments of your Church are signs of our healing and nourishment for the journey. May we be alert and ready for when you call us home. I ask you to help me to live everyday as if it is my last. Continue to configure me for eternity by helping me make you my priority and first love. St. Martin, pray for us. Amen.
