Ephesians 4:1-6

Psalm 24

Luke 12:54-59

Striving to preserve the unity of the spirit thru the bond of peace.  Ephesians 4:3

“…do you not know how to interpret the present time?”  Luke 12:56

Lord, when faced with a huge task or large project we can feel overwhelmed. In repayment of an enormous debt, being responsible for a large parish event or restoring a seriously damaged relationship we can ask ourselves “where do I start” or “can I do this?” We may even be tempted to give up before we begin. Lord, nothing is too big for you. After all, you saved all of mankind by your death and resurrection. Paul urges us to work together in unity for peace and you tell us to do it right now. I have been given this day of life for a reason. I have one or many opportunities today to begin to heal a broken friendship, introduce a coworker to you, or start on a path to break an addiction. One step today can lead to another one tomorrow. Lord, please help me to not delay in what I need to do today to build unity and peace in my little corner of this world.  Today is the most important day of my life and I choose to not let it go to waste.  Amen.
