Luke 12:39-48

…we have boldness of speech and confidence of access through faith in him.  Ephesians 3:12

Lord, personal access to the President, our Senator or the CEO of a large corporation is difficult and unlikely to happen for any of us. We don’t have the influence or importance to meet them or speak one on one with them. We’re not likely to ever get their attention for our needs yet we have complete access to the creator of the universe. God, our Father, is as close as our next prayer. Lord, when you became one of us, you showed us the face of our Father, our Abba, and our Daddy. You are the mediator of a new relationship, a personal one, in which we can confidently approach the throne of God and present our needs. He is listening to me right now. Lord, Jesus, I thank you for your word that gives light to your truth. I thank you for the sacraments of your church which are doors to the sacred. And I thank you for the great love, mercy and grace with which you bless me every day of my life. Saints John and Isaac and companions pray for me.  Amen.
