Exodus 17:8-13

Psalm 121

2 Timothy 3:14-4:2

Luke 18:1-18

But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed… 2 Timothy3:14

“I tell you; he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily.”  Luke 18:8

Lord, there was no “give up” in the widow in today’s parable. What she may have lacked in eloquence she made up for in persistence. If a corrupt judge will respond to a lowly widow’s persistent plea how much more will our loving Father respond to the prayers of his children. Of the many things you’ve taught me, Lord, is that you know perfectly what’s best for me. You may or may not answer my prayer exactly as I want. You may not, give me what I desire but you always give me what I need and what is best. I can overlook a blessing or favor from you because I am distracted by my narrow focus and incomplete understanding of your perfect plan for me. Lord, build my faith in your generous provision. May your grace guide me to recognize your constant presence and care. I surrender, dear Jesus, to whatever you think is best for me. I trust in you completely and can’t wait for what you have in store for me today. “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”  (Mt. 6:10) Amen.
