Proverbs 3:27-34

Psalm 15

Luke 8:16-18

…the dwelling of the just he blesses.  Proverbs 3:33

“…he places it on a lampstand so that those who enter may see the light.”  Luke 8:16

Lord, your word from the ancient wisdom in the book of Proverbs, teaches us to expect blessings from you when we treat others with justice. When I think about that it is really true. People I know who care about, honor and respect the dignity of the human beings in their lives do enjoy your blessings and favor. They are not free of trouble and suffering but they seem to handle it better than those who look out only for themselves. They are different, their light shines. Lord, show me today how I can be a just person towards someone in my family, neighborhood or workplace. Show me how I can go the extra mile to recognize goodness and respect the dignity of someone who needs a boost. By treating people justly your light shines in me. Lord, I open my heart to you to pour in your grace so I can be a light in whatever dark place I find myself today.  Amen.
