May God have pity on us and bless us; may he let his face shine upon us.  Ps. 67:2

“The Advocate, the Holy Spirit…will teach you everything…” Peace I leave with you;” John 14:26-27

Lord, In the final hours before your Passion you promised your followers that the Holy Spirit would guide them when you went home to the Father. Also, you blessed them with the gift of your peace. You could see the fear and terror in their eyes as the time of your glory approached. They needed your encouragement and your peace. You had chosen these people not because they were perfect or extremely holy. You saw their potential and were confident they had been well prepared because of their time with you. Lord, you have chosen me too. I’m not perfect and can be fearful and worried at times.   But you don’t give up on me and continue to mold me to be who you created me to be. I ask for your grace to strengthen me and your Spirit to show me the way to experience the peace the world cannot give. Shine the light of your face on me so I can know the way, the truth and the life you want for me. Amen
