Acts 8:26-40

Psalm 66

John 6:44-51

Hear now, all you who fear God, while I declare what he has done for me.  Ps. 66:16

Then Phillip opened his mouth and…proclaimed Jesus to him. Acts. 8:35

Lord, after you sent the Holy Spirit upon your followers, they wasted no time in telling others the Good News or your Resurrection and the love of God the Father. They didn’t keep the story of your life, death and resurrection to themselves. You told them to spread the word of God to all the earth and to get on with Baptizing all who believe. That’s exactly what St. Phillip did in today’s first reading.  He moved out when the angel told him where to go. He opened him mouth and shared his faith with the Ethiopian he met on the road. That was no accident either. This meeting was arranged by the Spirit.  Who knows how many others came to believe through the witness of this foreigner?  Lord, let me not keep my faith a secret. Show me where to go and to whom I can help know of your goodness. The same Spirit that moved St. Phillip was given to me at my Baptism. Let me not to be afraid to proudly proclaim all that you have done for me. Keep my faith alive and growing.  Amen.
