1 John 3:22—4:6

Psalm 2

Matthew 4:12-17, 23-25

“Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”  Mt. 4:17

Lord, there is urgency in your voice today. To experience the peace, joy and security of your Kingdom you called your first followers to repent and to do it now. You called them out of darkness into the light of God’s love. To guide them in their move from death to life you taught them the truth, proclaimed the good news of the Father’s love and cured their diseases and pains. Your message of change of heart is as relevant now as it was then.  We need to hear the truth, be aware of the unconditional love of God and our physical and spiritual ills healed. You no longer walk among us physically but have sent your Spirit to do so much today. Lord, may the Holy Spirit shine light in the dark places in my heart. May your Kingdom come and may I be healed of what blocks my way to you. My Lord, I am willing to change if you will guide me and strengthen me with your grace. Shine your light in every corner of my life. Thank you for hearing my prayer.  Amen.
