For from the greatness and the beauty of created things their original author…is seen. Wisdom 13:5
Lord, the greater our knowledge of creation, the more we see your fingerprints in what you have made. With our telescopes and spacecraft we can see to the limits of the universe. We have discovered the workings of the atom and how nature is balanced by the physical laws which you have designed. The wonder of created beauty is all around us. Our bodies have awesome healing powers. You have supplied everything we need for life. When I look at a tree I can imagine it as a source of the oxygen I need to live and a way to clean our air. Lord, how wonderful is your wisdom in forming this universe. What amazing discoveries await us! Thank you, dear Jesus, for revealing the wisdom and the might of God through his creation. Help me today to appreciate your handiwork from the largest galaxy to the smallest grain of sand. In all this, I stand in awe at these great gifts. May I slow down and give you praise for a flower, the full moon, the myriad of stars and the power of the sea. Amen.
