Abram put his faith in the Lord… Genesis 15:6
He remembers forever his covenant. Psalm 105:8
Lord, as a child I put my faith in my parents that they would care and provide for me. Today, I trust that my car brakes will stop me at the next traffic light. I trust the doctor who places a stint in my heart while I sleep. Abram trusted God when he was told to move his household to an unknown land and when God promised descendants as numerous as the stars. He believed the unknown and seemingly impossible promises of God. O Lord, how I want the faith of this man! I have doubts and I have questions like how and when you will fulfill your promises to me. I see no change in hurtful relationships, job pressures or health concerns. Day after day the same issues are with me. Dear Jesus, help my faith in you to grow and remain. I pray for a confidence that you are always working to completely fulfill your grand plan for me. You have never let me down. I believe in you Lord, help my unbelief. Amen.
