I will espouse you in right and in justice, in love and in mercy; Hosea 2:21
“Courage, daughter! Your faith has saved you”. Matthew 9:22
Lord, recently we celebrated the birth of our nation. This country was founded in your name to be a land of freedom. A land where free people could worship and follow you each in their own way. Our Founders risked their lives so that we could live the blessings of liberty. But tyranny and oppression always lie just around the corner. Lord, America today is attacked from the outside and from within. Our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are in danger. Our great land is in need of healing and conversion. As you healed the woman in today’s gospel, heal our nation. Restore our dependence on you. Once again take us as your precious spouse. Give us the courage to fight for justice, peace and the plight of the innocent. Lord, we have great strength and there is nothing we can’t do when we are united in purpose as a free people. Thank you, Lord, for all you’ve given us and may you always bless the United States of America. Amen
