Acts 3:11-26

Psalm 8

Lk 24:35-48

“Why are you troubled…?”  Lk 24:38

Lord, where can I begin to answer your question? As you know, trouble comes to us in all shapes and sizes and from so many directions. Some comes from outside of us like the war in Ukraine, some we manage to generate on our own by our sins. You were no stranger to trouble from the moment of your birth to your death–human drama surrounded you. You could have appeared to your disciples in your glorified body with no wounds. Yet you chose to reveal your physical resurrection by your wounds, by the breaking of bread and by sharing a meal with your friends. You are the one we turn to in times of trouble because you experienced it. You lived it. Here’s the deal-there isn’t any amount of trouble that can get me down because I have your gift of peace in my heart. I am certain of your love. I am confident of your grace.  I know you are bigger than ANY trouble that comes. When I get overwhelmed, I will look for you at my side to handle what I can’t. Lord, together we make an awesome pair of trouble-shooters.  Amen
