Exodus 2:1-15
Psalm 69
Matthew 11:20-24
She was moved with pity for him… Ex. 2:6
But I pray to you, O Lord, for the time of your favor, O God! Ps. 69:14
Lord, the mother of Moses may have prayed in words similar to those in our Psalm today. She desperately tried to save her child from being killed simply because he was a male baby. Little did she know that God would use the pagan daughter of the mighty Pharaoh to save the boy from certain death. The woman defied the order of her father and made arrangements for baby Moses to live and grow. You had a purpose for Moses and no royal order was going to interfere with it. It is truly remarkable how you use the most unexpected people to fulfill your plans. It makes me reflect on how I can sometimes overlook an answer to a prayer simply because it comes through an unexpected person or in a form I don’t recognize. How many times have I missed a grace, blessing or even a miracle because of my blindness? The people of Chorazin and Bethsaida were blind to who you were despite seeing your miracles with their own eyes. Lord, open my eyes of faith to all your graces and blessings. I expect and look today for your answers to all my prayers. Amen.
