Baptism
CELEBRATING BAPTISM AT ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH
It is with abundant joy, that we await the baptism of your baby!
Let the children come to me and do not hinder them. ~ Mark 10:14
The sacrament of baptism welcomes us into the Body of Christ, pardons our sins, rescues us from darkness and makes us new creations through water and the Holy Spirit.
Rite of Baptism
Infant baptism is offered for children through the 6th year. Those 7 and above are invited to our RCIA process.
Baptism preparation classes, for parents and godparents, are offered monthly on Sunday afternoons in Spanish and English. Classes are free, but please register in advance.

First Reconciliation
2nd Grade and older
“…through the ministry of the Church, may God grant you pardon and peace…”
This excerpt from the prayer of absolution makes it clear that the whole community has a role to play in celebrating the grace of God’s mercy and forgiveness. Preparation for Reconciliation involves the child, the parents and the community. Accordingly, the parish provides faith formation for parents whenever a child is preparing to celebrate a sacrament. Active participation on the part of parents is a strong expectation of parish sacramental preparation programs.
For more information or to register, please contact Sandy Basinger at (321) 735-7595 or faithformation@stmaryrockledge.org.

Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick gives strength and support and can be administered to anyone struggling with an illness.
The celebration of the anointing of the sick is a prayer of faith, a belief that God is with us, cares deeply for us, and desires our wholeness. When this sacrament is administered, the priest lays his hands on the head of the sick, silently prays for them, and then anoints the person with the oil of the sick, one of the three blessed oils used sacramentally, on their forehead and hands.
If you are interested in receiving in anointing, please contact the parish office at (321) 636-6834.
Marriage
Like all sacraments, the preparation for, and celebration of the sacrament of Marriage is grounded in the life and ministry of the parish. As primary ministers of the sacrament, the couple benefits from the experience and support of the community. At the same time, the couple’s love for each other gives the community a glimpse of Christ’s love for the Church, and thus is a blessing and support to the parish.
Couples interested in learning more about Marriage preparation and celebration at St. Mary Catholic Church should contact the parish office at (321) 636-6834.
Holy Orders
Holy Orders is the sacrament by which men are ordained to be of service to the Church as priests, deacons or bishops. While all of the baptized are ‘ordained’ to a life of service and commitment to Jesus Christ, the Church calls upon some of its members to serve the community in a different way through the Sacrament of ministerial priesthood. The ordained have a unique role within the Catholic community.
If you are interested in Holy Orders, please contact the parish office at (321) 636-6834.
