My God will fully supply whatever you need.  Phil 4:10

…God knows your hearts…” Lk. 16:15

Lord, since we are not all called to the poverty of St. Francis we use the gift of money to support ourselves and our families. All good gifts come from you and I thank you for the wealth that I have to live.  But your word tells me today that wealth can be misused and can pull us away from living freely in the kingdom.  You say to be faithful in large and small matters.  Lord, I ask you to plant in my heart a willingness to use and share the goods of this world in ways that please you.  You love a cheerful giver so help me to share with a joyful heart.  May I use what I have to give you glory and praise.  The strength to do so comes from you.  I trust you will enable me to make ends meet and will present opportunities to do well with your blessings.  I seek only contentment and reject overly ambitious pursuit of riches.   You are all I really need, dear Jesus.    I rely on you for everything and can count of you all the days of my life.  Amen.
