January 4, 2017 Wednesday, Christmas Weekday-A ST ELIZABETH ANN SETON, RELIGIOUS
1 John 3:7-10
Psalm 98
John 1:35-42
He first found his own brother Simon… then he brought him to Jesus. John 1:41-42
Lord, the worldwide Christian movement started small. One brother introducing another to you. Andrew heard the good news from you and immediately wanted to share it with his brother Peter. The rest, as they say, is history. Our first reaction when we hear really good news is to share it with someone we care about. Andrew believed he had found the long-awaited Jewish Messiah. No miracles, no cosmic signs, just an afternoon with you changed his life forever. Lord, I want the excitement that Andrew had. I want to hear your word and joyfully share it with my brothers and sisters. Let them see how being in your presence can be a life changing experience. Today, Lord, I will stop and reflect upon your question to those who follow you, “What are you looking for?” What is my life direction? What is important to me? Jesus, with your grace, I too can bring someone I love to you. I thank you for hearing my prayer. I look forward to how you will answer it. Amen.
