Psalm 3
Mark 5:1-20
…he ran up and prostrated himself before him… Mk.5:6
Lord, we read today about a scene like out of a horror movie. Getting out of the boat you were immediately met by a man possessed by many unclean spirits. This was a hopeless, almost impossible, out of control situation. Meeting you, the demons could not maintain their hold on the man. The reaction of the people was fear and distrust. You freed the man from his bondage and told him to go home to his family and proclaim the kingdom of God. This is what he did. I know, Lord, nothing is impossible for you. No demon can resist your saving power. Jesus, help me to grow in the faith that your mercy can defeat any demon in my life. You have destroyed death forever and have offered me eternal life with you. Like this man, I can proclaim your victory to my family and my friends. I am free to live like I’ve been saved! Banish any fear from my heart, dear Lord. I kneel before you, dear Jesus, and praise you forever for all you have done for me. Amen.
