Psalm 98

John 1:19-28

Remain in him.  1 John 2:28

Lord, the gift wrapping is in the trash, the guests have gone home, the decorations are coming down and many of us are back to our ordinary daily routine of our day.  I wonder if preparing for the celebration of your birth has changed me?  I wonder if the Christmas message of peace and goodwill has soaking into my heart and made any difference in me?  It’s hard to put my finger on exactly how but I believe that every time I open myself to your grace, I am touched by you.   Every time I ask for your help in a relationship you are there to bring peace.  When I am afraid or anxious you calm my spirit and walk with me in difficult times.  I know you are with me every step of my pilgrimage.  Today, my prayer is that I am equally with you.  May I place my hopes and dreams, my sufferings and stress, my sickness and health in your loving hands.   Dear Jesus, I trust that when I give myself to you, even in my routine and ordinary life, you can make me more like you.  Lord, I trust in your ways and your will for me in everything.   Amen
