Matthew 13:36-43

“If I find favor with you, O Lord, do come along in our company.”  Exodus 34:9

Merciful and gracious is the Lord, slow to anger, abounding in kindness.  Psalm 103:8

Lord, Moses realized that their journey to the Promised Land would be very difficult with many challenges and dangers.  He know how prideful and stubborn the people were that he was leading.  He asked for you to walk with them as their guide and protector.  I also pray you will walk with me today.  I so need a travelling companion that is merciful and gracious.  One who is patient with me and forgiving of my mistakes.  Help me to reject the temptation of the evil one who desires to lead me off the road to the promised land of you kingdom.  Without you, dear Lord, I am sure to get lost and lose my way.  There are many obstacles and dangers on the path to life.  With you at my side I can persevere and stay focused on the destination you have prepared for me and those who travel with me.  Amen.
