“Jesus the Nazorean, the King of the Jews.”  John 19:19

Lord, kings are found on thrones in grand palaces.  Kings sit on their thrones while their subjects come to them for help, for favors and to be judged.  The greatest king of all was nailed to the throne of the cross on a hill called Golgotha.  Only a handful of your followers dared to approach your throne.  You were on that throne due to the sin that was first committed by Adam.  You carried your throne to that hill along with the enormous weight of all the sins of mankind through the ages.  My sins were there too that day.  Your cross is the source of mercy, grace and forgiveness I can’t live without. Your cross is my glory. Jesus, every time I see your cross at every Mass and every blessing I honor your throne of grace and mercy.  I thank you for showing your love for me from your throne of the cross.  Jesus of Nazareth, the King of all be my King always.  Amen.
