ST. THOMAS AQUINAS, PRIEST, DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH

Hebrews 10:19-25

Psalm 24

Mark 4: 21-25

We should not stay away from our assembly…but encourage one another. Heb. 10:25

“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket…?” Mk. 4:21

Lord, I cherish the personal intimacy you desire to have with me. My connection with you is the most important relationship of my life. It is the basis and foundation of who I am and who you call me to be. But I am not an isolated soul who is concerned only about myself. You have baptized me into the community of your body on earth, the church. I am aware, dear Lord, that there are many fellow baptized brothers and sisters that have fallen away from your body. For whatever reason they no longer worship you or walk with you in unity with your church. They are your children too. May I not judge them but be a light to them. Along with my faithful brothers and sisters, may we be welcoming and energized disciples of yours so as to attract those who are struggling with their faith. Keep us steadfast and true to your gospel and the teachings of your church. Lord, bring to my attention someone today who may only need an invitation to return home to you. I am proud of my Catholic Church. Help me to share that with someone today. St. Thomas Aquinas pray for us. Amen.
