Philippians 3:17—4:1

Psalm 122

Luke 16:1-8

He will change our lowly body to conform with his glorified body… Phil 3:21

Lord, I thank you that everyday your grace is at work within me. You are transforming my heart and mind to be like yours. You are removing my weaknesses, strengthening my spirit and leading me to holiness. The point of all of this renewal is to make me ready for my citizenship in heaven where all sorrow and heartbreak will be gone. Paul reminds me that my body too will be changed and renewed. As your glorified body after your resurrection was seen by your disciples so will this lowly body of mine be perfected. You will remake my knees to be strong, my back straight, my eyes as sharp as an eagle’s. I will be a new creation that reflects in body and soul the glory of our Father. Lord, it’s hard to realize how different I will be: no longer concerned for sickness or pain or worry. What a glorious future awaits me as a citizen of heaven. Today, Lord, I surrender to your transforming power in soul and in body.  Amen.
