You formed my inmost being; you knit me in my mother’s womb… Psalm 139:13
Lord, I offer you praise and thanksgiving for every breath I take, for every beat of my heart. How wonderfully you made my body, mind and spirit. You formed me in your image and gave me dignity and a place in your heart, showering me with your love. I thank you for my parents who shared with you in my creation. I pray for the protection of all those children who will be conceived in their mother’s womb today. Lord, preserve them from all harm, disease or distress. Form the hearts of their parents to cherish and nurture their sons and daughters always. I beg you, Lord, to forgive us the shame and sin of abortion in our land. Help all our people see the pain and the cruelty that is the tragedy of abortion. Renew the hearts and minds of everyone to respect and protect the dignity of life from conception to natural death. I thank you that my mother and father chose life for me. Amen.
