August 4, 2026, Tuesday of the 18th Week in Ordinary Time-A ST. JOHN VIANNEY, PRIEST

Jeremiah 30:1-2, 12-15, 18-22

Psalm 102

Matthew 15:1-2, 10-14

You shall be my people, and I will be your God.  Jeremiah 30:22

Lord, this invitation from you should be my first thought in prayer each morning.  We belong to you, we are the sheep of your flock.  You are the Good Shepherd that leads us to safety and wellbeing. Jeremiah was attacked by those who did not have their hearts aligned with you.  You provided him with the warning to those unworthy shepherds who were leading the people astray.  May I always look to you for consolation in my suffering, truth in my doubt and protection from the evil forces of this world.  May I never fear abandonment by you for you keep your promises and never stop loving me.  Give me the grace to be always aware of your presence in the big and small events of my life.  Help me to see the magnificence of your creation all around me.  Lord, I’m so grateful for all you have done and will do for me.  I’m so happy to be the “apple of your eye”.  St. John Vianney pray for us.  Amen
