Lord, nobody wants to be left in the dark. That’s the last thing you want for us too. It’s because there are scary, evil things that hide in the darkness. They are not hidden from you though. Things like jealousy, envy, gossip, rage and revenge are all deeds or attitudes that live in the dark. But when we live each day in the light, we live with you. Like the sunrise chases away the night, your light shows us clearly the beauty and wonder of your creation. I live in your peace because you are the light of the world. I have the freedom to choose darkness or light. The forces of darkness will try to lure me away from your light Lord, don’t let them! Help me to always choose the light; to choose to live the truth you have taught me. Be my light always. Amen
