Matthew 11:28-30
“For my yoke is easy and my burden light.” Matthew 11:30
Lord, you know well how stressful and burdened our lives can be. It can seem at times that our whole world is coming apart. You invite us to turn to you for rest. You don’t offer an easy, carefree life. Even when we take on your yoke suffering will still find us and be a part of our walk with you. You suffered to your last breath too. But yoked to you our way is not traveled alone. You pull the burdens with us. You assure us of your awareness of our struggles and help pull the load. You give us the peace to know we are truly loved and held close to your heart. Lord, today help me to be obedient and faithful to your word. May I be confident that I never face my ordeals alone. Lord, I’d rather be yoked to you than to anyone or anything else. Amen.
