October 2, 2024, Wednesday of the 26th Week in Ordinary Time-B HOLY GUARDIAN ANGELS

Job 9:1-12, 17-16

Psalm 88

Luke 9:57-62

“But you, go and proclaim the Kingdom of God.”  Luke 9:60

Lord, how can I follow you today?  What opportunities will you place before me on this day?  You have given me a unique place, a definite time and powerful gifts and talents.  I humbly admit because of your wisdom no one else in the history of the world has the ability and the calling you have given me.  If I don’t do your will when asked, no one else will.  You tell me not to let obstacles block my way, fear to hold me back, or make excuses.  Being your disciple is the most important thing I have to do today.  I say yes to your dream for me.  Can I witness your love to someone who is alone?  I know I don’t walk this path alone.  You are with me every step of the way.  Help me to go to places I’ve not gone before.  Show me your power when my faith is stretched in ways that may not be convenient or comfortable.  I can’t wait for what wonders you will reveal to me today.  “Holy Guardian angel, be at my side to light, to guard, to rule and guide.”  Amen.
