Revelation 22:1-7

Psalm 95

Luke 21:34-36

…let us kneel before the Lord who made us.  Psalm 95:6

“Be vigilant at all times and pray…”  Luke 21:36

Lord, we all keep calendars up to date with our schedule of activities for each day. We are careful to list birthdays, important meetings, doctor appointments and vacations on our phone, pocket or wall calendars. We set our priorities by what’s most important each day. Lord, today you tell us that vigilance in prayer needs to be our top priority. What could be higher in priority than our preparation to enter into eternal life with you? We can become so preoccupied and distracted by the routines of life that we forget to enter into union with you in prayer. The sacraments of your Church and our daily prayer will strengthen us for the journey to heaven.  Lord, help me to re-stack my priorities today so that reflection on your word and prayer time are at the top. Teach me by your word what is truly important. Let me not compromise and always preserve time each and every day to bend my knees to you my Lord and my God.  Jesus, help me to be vigilant at all times so I am ready when you come again in glory.  Amen
