…the temple of God, which you are, is holy. 1 Corinthians 3:17
“…stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” John 2:16
Lord, if I had been there in the temple the day you disrupted the buying and selling, I could have seen your passion for the sanctity of the house of God. A place of worship had become something other than the dwelling place of God. St. Paul tells me today that I am the dwelling place of God as are my family, neighbors and coworkers. We all are holy. We belong to the Father. But we can become corrupted and forget who we are. We can be in need of a reset of priorities. We can let our body and spirit become corrupted. Lord, my most complete joy and happiness lies in being a welcome home, a holy temple where you can be with me. Before visitors arrive, we clean up our homes, so they have a pleasant place to be. May I receive the healing of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and clean up my house. Lord, make me a holy place for you to live. I offer myself as a beautiful temple for your presence. That’s who I really am. Thank you, Jesus, for wanting to dwell in me. Amen.
