Ezekiel 28:1-10

Deuteronomy 32 (Psalm)

Matthew 19:23-30

…your heart has grown haughty from your riches… Ezekiel 28:5

…” Who then can be saved?”  Matthew 19:25

Lord, your word today is clear: our wealth or possessions or wisdom can’t save us. In fact, they can be obstacles to our salvation. Only you can save us, we cannot save ourselves. Wealth and material goods are your gifts given to us to share and bless the lives of our brothers and sisters. Lord, I look to you for my salvation. Help me to unload anything that blocks my submission to you or my path to holiness.  Increase my faith in you to do the impossible. Strip me of pride and self-sufficiency. Guide me to use your many blessings in ways that give you honor. I admit I can’t reach the kingdom on my own. I can’t earn it or buy it. So, I surrender all I am to you, Lord. Use me as you will. You are my only hope, dear Jesus. Never let my heart grow haughty or arrogant in your service. Lord, I humbly accept your will for my life and look forward to the inheritance you offer.  Amen.
