“You, follow me.” John 21:22

Lord, your word today sums up what it means to be a disciple of yours. St. Paul is a wonderful model of faith, courage and commitment. He stayed faithful to his mission despite hardships and suffering. Like Paul, I’ve chosen to follow you through all the times, places and circumstances of my life. How I do that changes as I experience your grace and are formed by your word. There are so many distractions, temptations and challenges on the road to eternity. You have a purpose for me and a mission for me.  What’s important at this moment is to be open to whatever you call me to today. How can I best be your disciple this day? Who will I meet who needs an encouraging word? What do you want me to do for you today? How can I grow in faith and trust in you? Lord, I want to go wherever you lead me. I depend on you to perfect my words, prayers and love. Dear Jesus, I place it all in your hands. Thank you for choosing me to be a witness to you.  Amen.
