Parish Ministries
The Parish Ministries support the cohesiveness of our Parish by providing various opportunities to express our statements of faith and to develop a vibrant supportive community.
Auxiliary
St. Mary Auxiliary Committee acts on an ad hoc basis where volunteers are needed by various parish organizations and ministries to help sustain, maintain and facilitate the Mission of the Parish.
Book Store
The book store ministry accommodates parishioners and visitors wanting to purchase books and religious articles. Volunteers are there before and after Mass to assist with those purchases.
Eucharistic Adoration
Participants commit to spending an hour between 9am and 3 pm on the first Friday of each month before the Blessed Sacrament. Adoration provides a structures time schedule for one to grow in God’s love and to intercede for one’s intentions and for the entire St. Mary Catholic Community.
Funeral Hospitality
The Funeral Hospitality Ministry provides food and service for the funeral hospitality meal. Volunteers setup before, serve during, and cleanup after a funeral meal.
Gardening
The purpose of the Gardening Ministry is to help keep all the gar dens and grounds around St. Mary’s looking beautiful. The church provides all plants and tools.
Hispanic Ministry
The purpose of the Hispanic Ministry is to welcome, serve and provide the sacraments and spiritual support to the Spanish speaking community.
Knights of Columbus # 6125
The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic, fraternal, charitable, family organization for Catholic men over the age of 18. Through their “Tootsie Roll” drive each year, they help individuals, mentally challenged citizens, Special Olympic students and the School of Special Arts. They also host a Christmas Party which furnishes toys for distribution by Catholic Charities and Big Brothers and Sisters. Socials are also held on a regular basis.
Ministry to the Sick
Ministers to the sick take Holy Communion to those in the hospital, nursing homes and the homebound. They are also a listening and prayerful presence to the sick. Members of the ministry are a comforting way to connect the sick person with the parish community. Training is provided and periodic meetings and classes are held. Newcomer Greeters
The Newcomer Greeter Ministry welcomes the newcomers at their and delivers information of the many ministries and opportunities offered by St. Mary Catholic Community.
Parish Fair
St. Mary Parish Fair is held annually the week following Easter Sunday. An event of this magnitude requires an enormous effort. Volunteers are essential to make it successful. Besides volunteers to man the various booths, people are needed to make cakes, or donate various items for raffle.
