“…do not be unbelieving but believe.” John 20:27
Lord, your chosen one Thomas should be the patron saint of all of us. The journey from unbelief to belief is made by all. There are so many experiences on that road. Each journey is unique. Yet, all have one thing in common; your constant call to faith to each person. When Thomas doubted you didn’t forget him. You came to him in a way he needed. You came to Thomas where he was at. He was a faithful disciple who struggled with doubt during a crisis. Who of us haven’t? Lord, come to me as you did Thomas. You’ve planted the seed of faith in the soil of my heart and mind. With your grace I can weather the storms of doubt and my own weakness. Strip me of the pride that sometimes enters my heart. May I experience today, the peace you want for me. If I can be used by you to help someone else to faith, so be it. Walk with me every day on my faith journey, Jesus. I too can proclaim you are “my Lord and my God”. Amen.
