I shall not die, but live. Psalm 118:17
“He has been raised; he is not here.” Mk. 16:6
Risen Lord, the message of the angel to the two Mary’s has to be the most important, stunning and for some misunderstood message ever spoken. People never survived a Roman crucifixion. Neither did you. You died so I don’t have to. You opened the path to life for me and brought joy to all mankind by rising from the dead. I am so happy this day. Despite the corona virus and the other troubles I have in my life your rising from the dead makes all things new and glorious. You are my strength and courage, my savior. I praise you and want so much to meet you in sickness and health. I want to be your witness for the remainder of my days. May I see the fallen lifted up, the old made new, and all things brought to perfection. Lord, I pray for all who don’t know you or are too busy to pray to you today. May my family trust in your promises and celebrate this good news of new life and forgiveness. You are the Lord of life, raised up by the Father. May he now raise us up by his power. Amen Alleluia.
