“…the Spirit of truth…will testify to me.” John 15:26
Lord, even our holy and pious plans can be changed by you. Paul and his friends were seeking a quiet place to pray when they met the women at the river. Speaking to women in public did not come easy to a former Pharisee and strict observer of the Jewish laws and customs. The Spirit led Paul to change his prayer plans and engage Lydia and the women in conversation. Then you took over and opened the women’s hearts to the message of salvation and the good news of your love for them. I never know, Lord, where and when and who your Spirit is going to lead me to. It all comes down to trusting that your plans are better than mine. Your ways are always above mine. Paul’s prayer time became action time. Jesus, please don’t let my agenda hold me back from yours. You see into the human heart and know the right time for everyone to hear the good news. My job is not to change people, that’s yours. I trust you in everything today, Lord. May I be open to whomever you call me to. Amen.
