“…you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31
Lord, we make thousands of decisions each day. Most are small and not of life or death consequences. We carry out our activities based on our individual set of priorities. Our priorities are constantly evaluated and changing. You tell us in your word today that for us to be free and to experience the abundant life you offer that you must be at the center of our lives. You must be at the top of our priority stack. When we choose words and actions that disrupt our relationship with you we become frustrated. The distractions of everyday life can upset our focus on the truth of your word. Daily pressures can push us to pursue relief in ways that are not healthy for our walk with you. Lord, I truly want to do what’s right. I want to accept your will for me. I absolutely need your help to overcome habits and patterns of living that pull me away from you. Dear Jesus, pour your grace into my heart today. Amen.
