September 30, 2026, Wednesday of the 26th Week in Ordinary Time-A ST. JEROME, PRIEST, DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH

Job 9:1-12, 17-16

Psalm 88

Luke 9:57-62

“But you, go and proclaim the Kingdom of God.”  Luke 9:60

Lord, how can I follow you today?  What opportunities will you place before me on this day?  You have given me a unique place, a definite time and powerful gifts and talents.  No one else in the history of the world has the ability and the calling I have.  If I don’t do your will when asked, no one else will.  You tell me not to let obstacles block my way, fear to hold me back, or make excuses.  Being your disciple is the most important thing I have to do today.  I say yes to your dream for me.  Can I witness your love to someone who is alone?  I know I don’t walk this path alone.  You are with me every step of the way.  Help me to go to places I’ve not gone before.  Show me your power when my faith is stretched in ways that may not be convenient or comfortable.  I can’t wait for what wonders you will reveal to me today.  St. Jerome pray for us.  Amen.
