Jeremiah 26:1-9

Psalm 69

Matthew 13:54-58

“Where did this man get all this?”  Matthew 13:56

Lord, were you stunned at how your friends and neighbors rejected you?  It’s one thing to be shunned by enemies, but another by those who should have known you best.  Their lack of faith must have hurt you deeply.  This goes to show that faith is so essential to knowing and appreciating you.  It’s so important for us to experience your powerful healing and wisdom.  Lord, you’ve offered us all the gift of faith.  True faith grows, develops and matures.  It can be weak in times of fear.  It can falter when it appears you can’t be found.  But today, Lord, I choose to know, love and serve you as my Lord and my God.  Even when tempted by suffering or evil to doubt, may I remain your faithful follower.  Do not let anything or anyone block my complete trust in your mighty deeds and wisdom.  St. Ignatius pray for us.  Amen.
