Lord, we sometimes think we know so much about our Heavenly Father. At other times we have to admit we know so little. To “know about” him is not the same as “knowing” Him. Jesus, you came to show us the face of our Father. By letting your word light our path, by looking to you as an example of obedient love and service, by humbly admitting we are totally dependent upon you for everything–we can know Him who sent you. I beg you today to open my heart to the immensity of the Father’s love. Send your Spirit into my life so I can see Him and you in my brothers and sisters. May I have the confidence to call Him “Abba” like you do. Lord, you and I have the same Father. Jesus my brother, help me experience His mercy and love. Then I shall surely know Him as He is. St. Catherine pray for us. Amen.
