Acts 9:1-20

Psalm 117

John 6:52-59

“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him”.  John 6:56

Lord, when you walked among the people long ago you were limited in place and time.  You could go from town to town, minister to the people then move on.  You taught, healed, forgave and traveled to another place.  There were many people and places that you never visited. Not so today.  Thanks to you giving us your body and blood, soul and divinity, in Holy Communion you are everywhere at all times.  We don’t see you physically like the Apostles and others did–more than that–you enter into our bodies and souls and remain with us.  You and I become one in this awesome gift of yourself.  You fill me up with your divine presence.  This is a more personal and intimate relationship than seeing you pass by on the roads of Galilee.  Lord, thank you for the great honor of your presence within me.  May your remaining presence change my heart, mind and soul.  You are welcome to stay with me each and every day, forever.  Amen.
